“Retreat, Recreate, Refresh”
Located on the southwest shore of Gull Lake near Bentley, Alberta, Camp L.G. Barnes is a year-round, fully accessible resort and registered charity. We offer programming, customized accommodations, adaptive lake activities; wheelchair-friendly cabins and pathways for people with disabilities and their support staff and family members.

We strive to deliver a wide range of experiences through our beautiful natural setting, comfortable adaptive accommodation and flexible programming that promotes recreation, healing, and personal discovery. Our goal is to foster positive physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. Interactions with nature, resident farm animals, dedicated staff, and one another provide a refreshing retreat for Camp visitors.
Our values are rooted in the slogan “Giving Love Away”. Our focus is to provide both the setting and programming for visitors to experience the best holiday or retreat ever!

Everyone can be on the lake! From summer paddle boarding, boating, seadoos pulling tubes, and wading on the shoreline with the Mobi-mat to winter ice fishing and snowmobile toboggans, we strive to provide an opportunity for everyone.

We have all the equipment! From ceiling tracks in the adaptive cabins, accessible areas, water mats and tracks for lake access, to lockable kitchens, pontoon boat for 12 wheelchairs, and an elevated deck (with elevator!) for a sunset meal.

We booked our 2024 family reunion at Camp L.G. Barnes, and it is an absolute gem of a retreat! Camp staff ensured we had everything we needed for the entire family to have a great time. This is more than a camp, it's great for kids and perfect for reunions!

From 1955 to present, Camp L.G. Barnes has been serving the community. Accessible facilities and support staff make Camp L.G. Barnes the perfect place to unwind and experience what nature has to offer on the shores of Gull Lake.
We can help book your experience with us, including your support persons, caregivers, service animals, family and friends. Breakfast, lunch and dinners can be provided, or bring your own and stay in one of our fully equipped cabins.
